Glamping Under the Stars, Covered in His Peace: My first time Glamping
Sun Rise 10/27/24
When I went glamping for the first time, it was the weekend of my birthday. Our party consisted of me and 2 of my dear friends. We’d been planning that trip for months.
So a little back story. The year before, I’d planned to go on this same exact trip, but with someone I was paying to be my videographer and I was paying for the entire trip. Two weeks leading up to that trip everything that could have possibly gone wrong went wrong.
God called me to YouTube, and being obedient, I told God I would post monthly. For my October post that year I was putting everything on the line. It may be unwise in some eyes, but I was being obedient with no questions.
Long story short:
I was evicted from my apartment.
My car was repossessed.
I had to cancel the trip because of reasons 1 + 2 and the deposit was non refundable.
I believed I was following what He (Jesus) set out for me to do. I was so mad at Him. I honestly was just waiting on another pay period to pay the bills off. I’ll get into those details on another blog, but I will share this. I remember I told God I hated Him 😞 Yes, angry me said such hurtful words to her Lord and Savior. Keep in mind, God provided me with somewhere to stay immediately after I was evicted and two weeks later I was able to get my car back.
For about two to three weeks, I didn’t read the word of God, I didn’t pray, and I refused to talk to Him and tell Him how hurt and disappointed I was. Mind you, none of this was His fault. I remember one day, I saw a testimony about a guy that was an athlete and he’d been training for this bike marathon. A week before his race, he broke his leg. He told God he hated Him also. But on the day of his race…9/11 happened. Chills right? In the moment we can’t see the bigger picture. I don’t know what God was protecting me from, but I’m so grateful He did.
I was a repentant daughter, but then came the spirit of shame. Our Father reminded me of the scripture of the woman caught in adultery, John 8:10-11 NKJV, when Jesus tells her "Neither do I condemn you.” What a merciful God we serve, right?!
The following year, He provided a way for me to travel to Baltimore, St. Louis, Atlanta, Dallas and my first trip out of the country to Mexico (a testimony in itself). Glory to God! 🙌🏾🎉
Like most people that enjoy traveling and being in nature, a sky full of stars (without any other light pollution) has probably been on their list as one of the top most things to do. For me, it was number one. I would watch so many people experiencing it, praying that one day I would get to experience this as well. And it was so worth it.
Clear Sky Resort
Clear Sky Resort , the glamping resort we were staying at, was specifically catered to star gazing. I was living in Phoenix at the time, and it was about a three hour drive from me. We made it there by 8:45pm. The site was so dark, but when we stepped out of the car to go check in I was reminded of this scripture, Genesis 15:5 NLT. God says to Abram count the stars…if you can. The sky was…man…I get chills thinking about it. You could see the milky way, shooting stars…I did not want to sleep lol.
Decorated Globe
We slept in a globe, with a floor to ceiling view, and there was also a section on the ceiling that allowed you to view the stars while lying down. The interior of the globe was loft style, there were two beds in the loft area where my friends slept and I slept under the stars…literally. The first night, my friends decorated the globe for me. So excuse the mess. Lol. I’ve been truly blessed to have them.
We discovered there was a restaurant on site that served breakfast, lunch and dinner. For my coffee lovers, there was no special coffee, only cups of Joes. 😂 There was a movie globe that played family friendly movies, a balloon trampoline where we tried jumping but the area was home to a lot of tarantulas🫣. They were following us. We also discovered glow in the dark mini golf and corn hole, a jumbo connect 4 game, and the best part complimentary s’mores. I was keto at the time so I had sugar free chocolate, marshmallows, but regular grand crackers.
One-third of our trio is a very adventurous woman, and she discovered a trail called Red Mountain Trail. The views alone was worth the hike.
All in all for two nights, I was honored that God allowed me to experience another side of His creations. My eyes had to adjust to such a remarkable site. The peace I felt each night being under a blanket of stars could only be explained by Holy Spirit. Just think a year before, I was so caught up in my thoughts thinking how that was the worst birthday of my life. But a year later, I was in an answered prayer celebrating one of my best birthdays ever.
In the meantime…

As always. Until next time, loves.
Be Blessed,
